The Tech is published every other Thursday during the school year, every other week in January, and monthly during the summer.Copy deadlines follow a Tuesday-Thursday system. All copy must be received by 4:30 p.m. (EST/EDT) three business days before the issue date. All advertisements must be accompanied by an email including size, run date(s), billing information, and contact information.The publication schedule is listed below.Issue 1: Thursday, February 12, 2026

1 This issue is published one week after the previous issue as an exception to the regular biweekly publication schedule.
2 The Tech publishes a special Campus Preview Weekend (CPW) issue on April 16. CPW is a preview weekend for admitted students and their parents from April 16–19.
3 The Tech publishes during commencement, making the issue a keepsake for thousands of graduates and their families. Commencement 2026 takes place from May 27–29.

The Tech is MIT’s oldest and largest newspaper. We have provided MIT faculty, staff, and students with continuous news service since 1881. We publish Thursdays during the regular school year and monthly during the summer.The Tech is published by the students of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Our staff is composed of undergraduate and graduate student volunteers.The Tech receives funding from MIT.
